I call Wisconsin the Secret State because most of the folks I talk to about it have never been and know nothing about it. I typically don't go out of my way to educate them about it either... I mean, I can keep a secret... That said, there are times when I feel compelled to spill the beans about WI... and this is one of those times.

I've been hiding out in Madison for the last couple weeks and here's a little bit of what y'all are missing by avoiding one of the most beautiful places on earth... these picutres were taken in the lovely (albeit fairly treacherous) Devil's Lake State Park, in Baraboo WI. Some of the things you'll find there are right out of a Road Runner cartoon. Among the sites to see are Balanced Rock, The Devil's Doorway, Turkey Vultures and Effigy Mounds...
