Thank you Bears. I was worried. The Defense looked better than it did two years ago. Fast, crisp… fantastic. Matt Forte also looked great and owes the O-Line dinner. Kyle did just fine too… Nicely done boys. You are in 1st place for a few more hours still… keep up the good work!

My Bears did not make it as far as I’d have liked (though there were at least two glorious games this season). But when they’re not playing the Bears, I am a Pac fan… and we all hate the Vikings :) So with that, I say GO PAC! and pass on this fine Packers/Bears joke…

A man goes to the Chicago Bear ticket office and inquires about purchasing play-off tickets. The ticket teller replies that there weren’t any tickets for sale because the Bears did not make it to the play-offs.

The following day the same man goes to the Chicago Bear ticket office and inquires about purchasing Bear play-off tickets. The ticket teller politely replies that there weren’t any tickets for sale because the Bears did not make it to the play-offs.

This goes on for an entire week. The man goes to the Bear ticket office inquiring about play-off tickets and the teller says none are for sale because the Bears did not make it to the play-offs.

Another week of this goes by and the man still is asking the ticket teller about Bear play-off tickets. Finally the ticket teller in a loud voice says, I’VE TOLD YOU FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS THERE WERE NOT ANY TICKETS
AVAILABLE BECAUSE THE THE BEARS DID NOT MAKE THE PLAY-OFFS!

The man replied, ‘I know.’ I drive all the way from Green Bay just to hear you say that!

I’ve said it all year… said it all month… said it all week… I have said it all day. My Bears will sweep the Pac. God is a FIB.

Ten years ago today, the world became less funny.

Well, the Warriors did okay against the Orphans but the Pac didn’t do as well against my Bears! Nor did my friend David, a staunch Packers fan. He was just sure this was the year the Pac had the Bears number. So we bet on last weekends game. Loser wears the winning team’s jersey to work. Here he is, off to work. I wonder if his family will let him in the house tonight. He mentioned that he doesn’t even own a Pac jersey… but I told him that wouldn’t be a problem. I decided to give him his favorite player as well. He’s a big fan or Rex.

It’s strange what you remember as a kid… When I was about 10, I remember thinking quite clearly that, after enduring an absolutely horrible day, October 8th was officially dead to me. I don’t remember what happened that day… but it was bad enough for me to remember the date to this day. Well, October 8th is alive again in my heart… and on a Monday no less! Yes, thanks to my Bears whooping up on the Packers in Lambeau, October 8th is back on the menu! I can survive a year without a SuperBowl… but I won’t stand for my Bears losing to the Pac.

This win also brings with it the spoils of a wager… it will be posted soon… unless a certain Packer fan decides to welch on our bet… stay tuned!
