There was never going to be an actual debate about healthcare reform. Republicans in congress are never going to stand against the insurance industry, especially if the charge is being lead by President Obama. Though I find this unfortunately typical of the Party-First Party, but this also allows us to scrape them off and get some real work done.
So, if you support the healthcare reform including a public option, call your members of Congress and let them know! It’s easy and only takes a minute. Ask them if they support the proposed public option for healthcare reform. Tell them you’d like them to. That’s it. Done. Don’t let someone else’s voice speak for you. Call ‘em!
If you’re not sure how you feel about this issue, get informed. Howard Dean’s Netroots Nation town hall one of the best videos I’ve seen on the subject and is a fine place to start.

Okay, although almost nobody seems to like the trades the bulls have done last week, I personally love them. I’m happy to have Brad Miller back and it would seem we got John Salmons thrown if for free? Now that’s a deal. I was glad to see Larry go… and Thabo for a 1st round pick? It’s a beautiful thing. Good job Pax.
Playoffs!!!!

While reading this post that includes an email written by Bill Gates, ranting about the suckiness of Windows, I was torn. On one hand, I thought REVENGE!!!!!; on the other I thought “Bill knows how bad his crap is and releases it anyway”.
“Someone decided to trash the one part of Windows that was usable? The file system is no longer usable. The registry is not usable. This program listing was one sane place but now it is all crapped up.”
On a similar note, since I was just building a new website, I will once again beg y’all to STOP USING INTERNET EXPLORER. Please? Pretty please? Sugar… top? Use ANYTHING else. Chrome, Firefox or Safari would make fine choices and all are MUCH better than IE.
If only I could bill M$ for the time required to code around their buggy, crappy products.

The boys (and Lorie) celebrated our new President by playing an Inaugural Bluegrass Ball at the Roxbury Tavern. The place was PACKED with folks toasting in a new era. A fantastic time was had by all.

Okay. Okay… okay… I’ll say it. I don’t want to say it but I feel like I have to. I mean, I would make you say it if things were reversed. They deserve it and I’m going to say it. Now. Right now… here.
The Bulls totally suck ass this year.
There. I said it. Happy?

While in Australia last year, discovered, and soon became addicted to, Vegemite. This is neither here nor there except that when I ripped through the small amount I brought back with me, I needed a place to score some more!
Although it’s made by Kraft, it never caught on in the US and thus, is hard to find. I find this odd, especially here in Wisconsin, where the fact that it is a byproduct of the beer making process would ensure it’s popularity. Not so. Cheese curds yes. Yeast extract no.
Anyway, I was able to get some online but it’s expensive and the shipping is murder! I tried calling all the gorcery stores in town… no go (though some do cary Marmite (Vegemite’s sweeter cousin)). Then lo and behold… my friend Gina produced two 150g jars of the delicous brown ooze… from World Market no less. As the folks from OZ would say: “Good on ya’ World Market”!
Addiction pacified.
